A girl, identified as six-year-old Limar Osama al-Amarin, was killed on June 21, 2024, by the explosion of a hand grenade she was playing with inside her family’s house in her home city of Nawa in western rural Daraa governorate. The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.

We also condemn the unchecked circulation of weapons among civilian populations with no restrictions or regulations. The controlling forces must contain and address this issue.
