On 1 December 2020, a military vehicle belonging to the pro-STC third reinforcement and support brigade, led by Nabil Al Meshushi, exploded near Caltex roundabout (Ash Shaikh Outhman, Aden). According to one source, the explosion occurred after tension arose when a pro-STC Aden security forces team lead by Abdul Dayem Al Hubeishy, head of Aden security office, refused to grant the brigade access to the coast guard office. No fatalities reported.
