On 2 December 2020, Houthi forces launched an attack on the pro-coalition troops of the Sudanese Rapid Support forces in Najran (Najran). The nature of the attack is unclear (most likely shelling) but it resulted in the death of 8 RSF soldiers and the injury of 22 more.
