Projectile event in Donetsk, Novooleksandrivka area, Ukraine on Tue 11th June 2024

The number of combat engagements on the front lines in Ukraine has increased to 87 since the beginning of the day. The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk sector. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 19:00 on Tuesday, June 11, Ukrinform reports. In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops once again attempted to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, with fighting taking place in the area of Hlyboke village. Four attacks have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders there and in the area of Vovchansk town. In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian army attempted to storm Ukrainian positions eight times. Five of these attempts were unsuccessful. Three assaults are still ongoing near Pishchane, Berestove and Synkivka. The situation is under control. "Ukrainian soldiers are eliminating the enemy - the occupiers have lost 134 troops as killed and wounded in this sector today. Four cannons and four enemy vehicles were damaged," the General Staff noted. In the Pokrovsk sector, 19 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day, with six of them are still ongoing. The Russian army continues to put pressure on the Ukrainian defense lines near Novooleksandrivka. In the afternoon, the invaders intensified the combat work of aircraft, conducting five air strikes in the areas of Vovche, Oleksandropol, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka and Zhelanne. In the Vremivka sector, the invaders are attempting to reduce the defense potential of the Ukrainian army and intimidate the civilian population. Four enemy air strikes have been recorded in this sector today. They hit the areas of Staromaiorske, Kostyantynivka, Blahodatne and Urozhaine. In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian army is attempting to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders from their positions. Since the beginning of the day, the invaders have attacked this sector six times, receiving fierce resistance in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, Novoprokopivka and Verbove. In other sectors of the front, the situation has not changed significantly. As Ukrinform reported, fighting in the Lyman sector is taking place in two locations near Hrekivka and in the vicinity of Terny.
