A man has been charged after three men allegedly had a "corrosive substance" thrown at them in Canary Wharf.
Mohamed Boudissa, 18, of Balham Road, Edmonton Green, appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court last Friday (July 21), charged with three counts of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of affray.
The charge relates to an incident in Cabot Square, Canary Wharf, on July 17 when three men allegedly had a corrosive substance thrown at them.
Cabot Square includes a fountain, artwork and has London offices for Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.
The men were treated at the scene and none were seriously injured, police said.
Boudissa will next appear in custody at Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 18.
A woman, 17, was also arrested on July 21 on suspicion of having a corrosive substance in a public place.
This is contrary to the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, police said.
She has been bailed pending further enquiries to a mid-August date.
