Through the Twitter account of the student leader, Gaby Arellano, it was known that members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) repressed protesters with "green gas" on Las Américas Avenue in Mérida.

On March 20, it was reported that the GNB had attacked protesters in San Cristóbal with a highly toxic red gas (of the CN type considered co-carcinogen). After a month, the "security" troops of the State continue to attack excessively against students and civil society who raise their voices against the government of Nicolás Maduro.
