Rocket event in Donetsk, Klishchiyivka area, Ukraine on Wed 5th June 2024

A total of 110 combat engagements took place at the frontline over the last day. This was announced by the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev on the air of the United News telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. "A total of 110 combat engagements took place during the day. Russian terrorists launched 3 missile attacks using 4 rockets, carried out 61 air strikes using 82 guided bombs. The invaders also made more than 4,000 attacks, including 120 with the use of multiple rocket launchers," he noted. According to him, Russian troops continue to conduct offensive actions in the Kharkiv sector. A total of five combat engagements took place in this sector over the last day. Fighting also took place near the town of Vovchansk in Kharkiv region. In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 17 attacks in the areas of Sinkivka, Berestove, Cherneshchyna, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka in Kharkiv region, Nevske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region. In the Siverskyi sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two attacks near Bilohorivka in Luhansk region. In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 9 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Kalynivka, Andriivka and Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. In the Pokrovske sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 42 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, Novopokrovske, Ptyche, Progress and Yevhenivka in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defences eight times yesterday. In the Vremivsk sector, the Russians made 8 unsuccessful attempts to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops in the direction of Staromayorske, Kostiantynivka, Zolota Niva and Urozhayne in Donetsk region. In the Orikhivsk sector, 7 firefights took place in the areas of Maly Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya region yesterday. In the Prydniprovsky sector, the invaders are trying to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past 24 hours, Russians launched three unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Defence Forces in Kherson region. As reported, on 4 June, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 15 areas of concentration of personnel, 1 command post and 3 air defence facilities of the Russian army.
