The Russian army has become more active in the Kupiansk sector, with 64 combat engagements recorded on the front lines since the beginning of the day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 17:00 on Tuesday, June 4, Ukrinform reports. "Ukraine's defenders react flexibly to the actions of the Russian invaders and take necessary measures to deplete the enemy's offensive potential," the General Staff said. Russian troops continue to launch artillery strikes from their territory on the border area of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Khrinivka, Stara Huta, Khliborob and Mykhalchyna Sloboda came under enemy fire. The Kharkiv region is also under attack by the Russian army. In particular, the invaders struck Vovchansk three times using seven guided aerial bombs. The Russians fired ten unguided aerial missiles from MI-8 helicopters at Okol and Veterynarne. In the Kharkiv sector, three combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. Russian troops have not achieved any success. In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian army is using aircraft. Ukrainian defenders repelled eight assault attacks in this sector, three more combat engagements are ongoing near Stelmakhivka and Berestove. "The defense forces are giving a worthy rebuff to the enemy," the General Staff noted. In the Kramatorsk sector, fighting continues near Andriivka. Russians launched a missile attack on Sloviansk. They attacked Druzhba and Pivnichne with unguided aerial missiles, firing 16 and 10 unguided aerial missiles at these localities, respectively. In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces have repelled 16 enemy assaults since the beginning of the day. 17 more battles are ongoing. The enemy also uses aircraft for the attacks. Russian troops attacked Arkhangelsk with three guided aerial bombs and launched ten unguided aerial missiles at Novoselivka Persha. In the Kurakhove sector, the total number of enemy attacks increased to four. The defense forces successfully repelled two enemy assaults, with two more ongoing near Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka. The Russian army attacked Vodiane with 2 guided bombs and 20 unguided missiles. With the support of aircraft, the enemy continues to attack in the Vremivka sector. Ukrainian defenders have successfully repelled three attacks there, and two more are underway in the vicinity of Urozhaine. In other sectors, the situation has not changed significantly.
