An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded on Wednesday in a house in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, killing three people.

Local source told North Press that three people were killed in an IED explosion in the western neighborhood of the city of Sanamayn, north of Daraa.

Two of the killed are Khalil al-Anqari and Nadim al-Atmeh, while the third remained anonymous, the source said.

The source added that the reason for the explosion was unknown.

Daraa and its countryside have been experiencing a state of insecurity since 2018 as frequent incidents of killings occur without any specific party claiming responsibility for these attacks.

In May, an IED exploded in the village of Sahem al-Golan in the western countryside of Daraa that resulted in the killing of member of the Military Security Branch of the government forces and the injury of two others.
