The Russian Armed Forces have launched a missile strike on a hangar for Ukrainian armed forces' marine drones On Wednesday morning, 6 March, the Russian military launched a precision missile strike on a hangar for uncrewed Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) drones. This was reported in the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. As specified in the Telegram-channel of the department, the object of the strike was a hangar in the industrial port district of Odessa. In this hangar, the enemy was preparing uncrewed boats for combat use. The aim of the strike was achieved - the object was hit, the Russian Defence Ministry stressed. The Russian defence ministry's announcement followed the presentation by the Ukrainian Security Service of a new maritime drone. It is a modernised unmanned boat of the Sea baby 2024 project, which was named ‘Avdeevka’. Kiev assures that it is capable of delivering almost a tonne of explosives at a distance of more than a thousand kilometres. Denis Fedutinov, an expert in the field of unmanned systems, warned that this is a dangerous weapon that will be able to hit not only ships, but also, for example, bridge supports. The expert recalled that unmanned sea boats-branders have become one of the characteristic attributes of the hostilities in Ukraine.
