On 18 May 2024, in Nat Taung Maw village (Thandwe township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes on the village. The DVB and RFA reported that nine locals were killed, and three others sustained injuries, while Myanmar Now reported that six were killed on the spot, and three others died on the way to a hospital. Fatalities coded as 9.
