On 18 May 2024, the Burkinabe air force carried out an airstrike against IS Sahel militants aboard a motorcycle near the town of Seytenga (Seytenga, Seno). Two militants were killed. Army stated that after the airstrike soldiers conducted a sweep. No clash was reported.
