On 20 May 2024, in Jamundi (Valle del Cauca), suspected members of the Jaime Martinez FARC dissident faction detonated a motorcycle bomb next to a hotel on 14th Street with 11th Avenue where police officers who had arrived to reinforce the security of the municipality were staying. Two police officers and four civilians, including three minors, were injured by the explosion. Almost simultaneously, another attack took place against a police station in Morales, Cauca (coded separately). There were no fatalities.
