On 22 May 2024, near Mindat town (Mindat township, Mindat district, Chin state), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with a fighter jet from the Tada-U airbase that dropped bombs and fired rockets and machine guns in the No.2 area at 12 pm. Separately, the military conducted an airstrike again with a fighter jet and dropped 500 lb bombs and fired rockets around 12:15 pm. The military IB-274 based in Mindat town also fired 120 mm heavy weapons at 12:40 pm and 1 pm. There were no casualties.
