On 17 December 2020, Afghan security personnel were killed and wounded when their APC was hit by a Taliban-planted IED in the Cheni Manda area of Sangin district, Helmand. Afghan security personnel were killed or wounded in a second APC was hit by Taliban artillery when they arrived as reinforcement. Fatalities coded as 0 (VoJ reported unknown fatalities coded as 10 due to the size of APC).
