On 20 December 2020, an Afghan military forces' convoy was hit by a Taliban car bomb in Dazh Sahib area of Nawa-e Barakzayi district, Helmand province. Afghan MoD reported that the bomber was detected and neutralized before reaching its target. 2 Afghan army personnel were wounded in the blast. The suicide bomber was recorded as a separate fatality.
