On 21 December 2020, a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition was targeted by an IED on the Babylon-Baghdad highway north of Hilla. No injuries occured. The Qasem Al Jabarin claimed responsibility for the attack, stating their aim is to decrease the presence of the US in the area.
