On 25 April 2024, in Ma Yan Kone village (coded as Ma Yan Kone (Taung Paing)) (Thaton township, Thaton district, Mon state), the military (No.314 Military Artillery Base and LIB-9) fired seven artillery rounds and two of the rounds landed in Ma Yan Kone village at around 12:54 pm. 2 villagers were injured. Eight houses and a rubber field were also destroyed.
