On 27 April 2024, in Naung Bo village (Thaton township, Thaton district, Mon state), the Myanmar military Artillery Corp - 402 fired heavy weapons two times around 9:50 pm, which fell and exploded into the village and killed a 67-year-old man. DVB also claimed that about 25 buildings, including three schools, were also destroyed in Naung Bo and Kawt Hlaing Ywar Gyi (coded separately) villages.
