On 28 April 2024, in Ta Gay Laung village (Bilin township, Thaton district, Mon state), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike and fired heavy weapons two times around 11:30 pm and destroyed three schools, a patrol shop, a motorcycle repair shop and a house. Casualties unknown.
