On 30 April 2024, in Ponnagyun township (Sittwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military stationed at Par Da Leik and Shwe Min Gan Navy Hall fired heavy weapons towards the Ponnagyun township two times around 10:16 am. Separately, the military troops stationed at the regional operations command fired heavy weapons around 10:39 am. Casualties unknown.
