On 30 April 2024, in Taung Poet Kwe village (Nyaungshwe township, Taunggyi district, Shan-South state), the Myanmar military based in Hti Ri village fired artillery rounds into the village at 8:55 pm without an armed clash occurring. A pagoda was damaged by artillery shells. Casualties unknown.
