On 2 May 2024, in Pyar Sa Khan village (Thandaunggyi township, Hpa-An district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military stationed at the 13 Maing camp fired artillery rounds into the village at about 2 pm and five of the rounds landed in the village, destroying about 15 houses. Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported at least three civilians were killed and many others were injured. Another source, Khit Thit Media reported that a 14-year-old boy, a 30-year-old man, and a 70-year-old woman were injured. Fatalities coded as 0 for the lowest estimates.
