On 2 May 2024, between Mon Hnyin and Thaw Kei Ba villages (Yesagyo township, Pakokku district, Magway region), combined forces of the the Shwe Nyar Myae People Defense Force, Peacock Red Blood Guerrilla Force - YSO, People's Defense Force - Myaing (PaKaPha), and the PKU N PDF: Pakokku North PDF, People's Defense Force - Yesagyo (PaKaPha), and People's Defense Force - Pakokku District Battalion-9 carried out a mine attack against the military coming from the Taung Oe Tar Taing security checkpoint at around noon. Two military soldiers died and three others were injured.
