On 19 April 2024, suspected armed Kuki assailants detonated a bomb at the base of a 400 KV transmission line tower within Kotlien area under Keithelmanbi police station limits (coded to Keithelmanbi village, Kangpokpi, Manipur) amidst ongoing violence between Meitei and tribal communities in the state. There were no damages and casualties.
