On 23 April 2024, in Waingmaw township (Myitkyina district, Kachin state), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops LIB-58 landed in Moke Kyin and La Myan villages. Five houses and a religious building from La Myan village and two houses from Moke Kyin village were destroyed. Casualties unknown.
