Around 23 April 2024 (as reported), the MNJTF involving Nigeria and Niger Republic Air Force, launched air strikes at fleeing Boko Haram fighters in Arege (Abadan, Borno). The Boko Haram fighters fled Niger Republic after attacking a military unit ONAHA Lada in the Province of Diffa and injuring four SDFS. The airstrikes killed scores of Boko Haram fighters. There were twenty fatalities.
