On 24 April 2024, in Htan Taw village of Budalin township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), one round of 120 mm heavy artillery shell fired by the Myanmar military troops landed in the village at around 7:30 pm and killed an 18-year-old young man and injured four other people, according to DVB. Khit Thit Media reported that two men were hit and killed by the artillery shells. Fatalities coded as 1, using the lowest estimate.
