On 29 December 2020, an IED, planted by an unidentified armed group, exploded in the city of Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo, causing only material damage. Unconfirmed reports claim that the IED targeted the vehicle of a Levant Front commander, injuring him. Neither injuries nor fatalities were reported.
