On 25 April 2024, in Myin Thar village (Myitkyina township, Myitkyina district, Kachin state), the military conducted airstrikes three times with 9 bombs in the evening, hitting and destroying some pagodas in the village. Radio Free Asia reported that a 30-year-old local was killed and his mother was injured. Another source, Kachin News Group reported that a local was killed and two other locals were injured.
