On 29 December 2020, a remote controlled IED by unknown group targeted a private Toyota pickup owned by a former parliamentarian member at the Qoob-Dooro garage neighborhood in Mogadishu-Karan district (Karan, Banadir). One escort soldier was killed, while two others were injured.
