On 14 April 2024, in Chanayethazan township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region), two bombs consecutively exploded at a motorcycle parking area near the Mayor's Thingyan pavilion located on the 71st road (between 26th and 27th streets) at 10:25 am. Radio Free Asia, VOA, Mizzima, and Eleven Media Group reported that around 11 people sustained injuries, while Shwe Phee Myay News Agency and Khit Thit Media reported that three people were killed and around 11 injured. Fatalities coded as 0 using the lowest estimates.
