Mine event in Rivne, Ukraine on Fri 5th April 2024

In the north of the Rivne region, a tractor exploded on a mine in the border lane, three civilians were injured.

Oleksandr Koval, head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, wrote about this in  Telegram , Ukrinform reports.

"Today, in the north of the region, in the border lane, a tractor blew up on a mine. Three civilians were wounded," the report said.

As noted, the driver ignored the "Dangerous mine" sign. Relevant services are working at the scene.

The head of the OVA urged everyone not to break the rules, to comply with the requirements of prohibited signs, to be careful, this will save life and health.

In turn, the regional police specified that the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. during field work.

As a result of the explosion, the driver was seriously injured, he was hospitalized for resuscitation. Two more men were nearby: they were taken to a medical facility, where they are being examined and provided with assistance.

Based on the results of the inspection and survey of the territory, the law enforcement officers will make a decision on the legal qualification of the event.

As reported by Ukrinform, in August 2023, a tractor blew up on a mine in the border lane of the Rivne region , the driver was alive, the authorities urged to pay attention to warning signs. 

The SBI is investigating the detonation  of an explosive device of servicemen in the Rivne region, as a result of which two were killed and four were injured.
