Turkish forces shell villages in Aleppo countryside 
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces shelled early on Wednesday villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northwestern Syria.

A local source told North Press Turkish forces shelled the area between the town of Tel Rifaat and the village of Sheikh Issa.

Earlier, Turkish forces shelled the villages of Sha’ala and Radari in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

On Tuesday at night, Turkish forces targeted the villages of Sheikh Hilal and Kafr Naseh. The area includes five camps, where thousands of IDPs of Afrin region reside.

Turkey and its affiliated armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) occupied Afrin in March 2018 after launching a military operation dubbed “Olive Branch.”

The operation resulted in the killing and injury of thousands, and the displacement of about 300,000 of the original Kurdish inhabitants who have been taking shelter in villages and camps in the northern countryside of Aleppo, aka the Shahba Region. As for those who chose to remain in their homeland and not to flee, they have been subjected to widespread human rights violations.

Meanwhile, the Manbij Military Council announced on Wednesday that Turkish forces attacked with artillery and heavy weapons the villages of Sayada, al-Dandaniyah, and al-Jat  in the northern countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.

So far, no damage or casualties were reported in both areas.
