On 12 April 2024, near Taung and Par Pyin villages (coded as Paukkhaung) (Paukkhaung township, Pyay district, Bago-West state), a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Pyay District (battalion 3601 - companies 1 and 5), the People's Defense Force - Paukkhaung (PaKaPha) carried out mine attacks against Myanmar military troops with remote mines at about 9:15 pm. Two military troops sustained severe injuries.
