On 18 April 2024, in Myo Haung village (Kawkareik township, Kawkareik district, Kayin state), during the fight with the Albino Tiger Column in Kawkareik town (coded separately), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with Y-12 aircraft around 11 am and killed an 87-year-old abbot. 4 locals including a lay attendant were severely injured. A monastery was also destroyed.
