On 19 April 2024, Russian drones and artillery struck the Nikopol community (coded to Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk). Ukrainian sources reported damage of multiple objects of civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. When rescuers came to eliminate consequences of the shelling, they were attacked once again. No one was injured. According to Russian sources, the Ukrainian military lost 30 soldiers, including territorial defense (coded to this event), 4 cars, 3 artillery systems near Nikopol, Mykhailivka and Zolota Balka [Russian MoD reported 30 fatalities.
