IED event in Israel on Mon 22nd April 2024

The trampling attack in Jerusalem - large forces are scanning the area in order to locate the two terrorists this morning around 08:00 a report was received of a car accident and the trampling of three pedestrians on Techelet Mordechai Street in Jerusalem, who were slightly injured. Immediately after that, two terrorists got out of the offending vehicle with weapons in their hands and tried to shoot, without success, and began to flee, throwing away the improvised weapons in their escape route. The forces of the Jerusalem District and the Border Guard were called to the scene and began extensive searches during which the weapon was located. The commander of the Jerusalem district, Superintendent Doron Turgeman, conducted an initial situation assessment at the scene, during which he directed the activation of all means and forces, including special units, with the aim of quickly locating the two terrorists who escaped.
