On 6 April 2024, in Kawt Pa Yan village (Mudon township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), the combined troops of the Karen National Defence Organization and the Mudon People's Defense Force attacked the Myanmar military union minister of the transport and communications, deputy minister, and chief minister of the Mon state with a bomb attached to a drone around 10 am. They were attacked while having a meeting for the construction of the international airport. There were no casualties.
