On 7 April 2024, an unidentified armed group targeted with a grenade 1 Houthi security supervisor (mushrif) in front of Ghalib pharmacy in Radaa city (Rada, Al Bayda) killing him and between 2 and 7 of his escorts. Fatalities coded as 3 following the more conservative estimate. Anti-Houthi sources claimed that the incident was carried out by 'Al Bayda resistance' which emerged following recent tensions in the governorate. A source noted that Houthi forces deployed around the area and raided 2 houses looking for the attackers. One source reported that the attack was carried out with gunfire instead of with a grenade.
