On 8 April 2024, in Mawlamyine town (Mawlamyine township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), a combined force of the Alpha Bats (Fixed Wing) Drone Force and the unidentified resistance ground forces attacked the Southeastern Military Command Headquarters, where the deputy military prime minister was holding a meeting, with drone bombs at around 5:10 pm, causing the meeting to stop. The drone strikes injured about 30 military troops in two days (8 and 9 April).
