On 11 April 2024, in Kawkareik town (Kawkareik township, Kawkareik district, Kayin state), an unidentified armed group attacked IDPs with bombs attached to drones at around 11 am while they were returning to their homes. Four of them were killed, and two others sustained critical injuries.
