On 11 April 2024, in Myawaddy town of Myawaddy township (Myawaddy district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military forces launched more than eight airstrikes using Y12 fighter jets against the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade-6 in Myawaddy town. The airstrikes destroyed some residential properties in the town. Casualties unknown.
