The Palais de Justice was evacuated at around 15:00 due to a bomb threat, but normal activities resumed at around 16:30. An alert was raised at the courthouse located on Place Poelaert on Tuesday afternoon. "We received a bomb alert by telephone," Federal Police spokesperson An Berger confirmed to The Brussels Times. Staff and members of the public were cleared from the building, where police performed a sweep. Access has again been granted as nothing was detected during the inspection. Traffic in the area was temporarily diverted but has also resumed as normal.
