IED event in Cyprus on Sat 13th April 2024

The vehicle of a 30-year-old man became the target of bombers in the Polemidia area shortly after 3 in the morning. The vehicle was completely destroyed by the explosion.According to the Police, the 30-year-old’s vehicle had been used by a 34-year-old relative in recent days while parked outside the owner’s residence.Police investigations have revealed that the explosion was caused by a high-powered improvised explosive device. The car, a Pajero type, of unknown value, was completely destroyed by the blast.Police officers have cordoned off the scene and are conducting investigations and interrogations to locate evidence and clues.
