The Sudanese war has reached the eastern state of Gedaref

Gedaref state, southeast of Khartoum, has come under air attack from Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) drones for the first time since the war broke out a year ago, local sources said. At the same time, violent clashes are taking place between the army and the RRF, led by General Muhammad Hamdan Daghlo, east and south of Wad Medani, the capital of Al-Gezira state, over which the RRF announced its control late last year.

Security officials and eyewitnesses reported that on April 9, drones attacked army headquarters and security and intelligence bases in Gedaref.
