The IDF says the Nahal Brigade continues to operate against Hamas in the central Gaza Strip, in the area of the Netzarim corridor, the only location in the enclave where ground troops are currently deployed to.

The corridor, which crosses Gaza from the Be'eri area in southern Israel to the Strip's coast, enables the IDF to carry out raids in northern and central Gaza, prevent Palestinians from returning to northern part of the Strip, and for humanitarian organizations to deliver aid directly to northern Gaza.

The IDF says Nahal troops killed several gunmen over the past day, including a cell in close-quarters combat.

Meanwhile, dozens of targets were struck across the Gaza Strip by fighter jets and drones over the past day, the IDF says.

According to the IDF, the targets included military sites, rocket launchers, tunnel shafts, and other infrastructure

One airstrike also targeted a Hamas cell that posed a threat to ground troops, the IDF says.

The IDF says a fighter jet also struck a building and a launcher in Jabaliya in northern Gaza, after they were used to fire a rocket attack Kfar Aza yesterday. The rocket had been intercepted by the Iron Dome.

In another incident, the IDF says troops operating "in a targeted manner" in the area of Gaza City's Shejaiya neighborhood came under rocket fire from within the Strip. The IDF says a fighter jet struck the rocket launcher a short while later.
