On 30 March 2024, in Ku Lar Kone village (Taikkyi township, Yangon-North district, Yangon region), a handmade mine planted by an unidentified armed group exploded in a trash bin near an administrator's house in the evening, hitting and killing three locals, including two 10-year-old trash collectors. Some locals alleged that the military planted the handmade mine and others alleged that a PDF group planted the mine.
