On 30 March 2024, an IRG soldier from the 1st Battalion of the 145th Infantry Brigade threw a hand grenade at an IRG security vehicle (coded as police) in Taizz - Wadi al Qadhi (Al Mudhaffar) in central Taiz city. The attack caused a fire and injured 3 soldiers. There were no fatalities. The same soldier detonated an explosive device inside the Security Department HQs in Taizz on the following day (coded as a separate event). The reason behind the incidents were not reported.
