On 4 April 2024, in Kyauktaw town (Kyauktaw township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes and dropped four bombs on the town using a fighter jet at around 3 pm. The airstrikes that landed near Kit Sat Na Dee Bridge killed a 20-year-old man and injured five other civilians. The RFA reported that at least two civilians were killed, while Shwe Phee Myay News Agency reported that at least three were killed. Several others also sustained injuries. Fatalities coded as 1 using the lowest estimate.
